Jazirat Al-Hama

Jazirat Al-Hamra is a hamlet frozen in time and shrouded in mystery. Once a pearl fishing village with a thriving community, it stands today as a ghost town long abandoned by its inhabitants.

Those who choose to explore Jazirat Al-Hama will find many of the dwellings to be perfectly intact—as if the residents at the time left at once, in an inexplicable hurry. The cause for their relocation remains to be the center of rumours and discussion, though it’s largely been attributed to tribal conflict some time in the 60’s.

Most who explore Jazirat Al-Hama do so unassisted, without tour guide or electronic voice-overs.
